Anytime the other team wants to win more, the Texas team begins to play like crap.
I hope they keep Mack Brown for a long long time.
Is the Texas/Arkansas series going to continue after this year?

No, Southern Cal replaces Texas on the schedule the next 2 years. I figure if Arkansas wins again this year there won't be a UA/UT series for a long time, simply because UT didn't expect to lose either game.
Also, these days the game means more to Arkansas fans (mostly because of the '69 shootout and SWC days) than Texas fans.

Oh you people have no idea the agony of being a SDSU sports fan (the six of us). Ever yr it's the same thing...we hear they're going to make a run, just to shit it all away by the openening quarter of the opening game of the campaign.

Here are the ap polls for pre season.
They have UGA listed at 3rd over LSU. I like the AP one more than the ESPN/USA Today poll. lol

USC amazes me.
They get to be #1 preseason.
They play a cupcake schedule.
They avoid anyone of merit in their conference for the second year in a row.
They'll have to wait for the final game of the season for some decent team to show them how overrated they are. Hopefully, that team will be Oklahoma.

If they get beat by a couple of those cupcakes that would be interesting too.

They'll actually have a shot this year at a BCS bowl since they're in the Big East. They competed fairly well with the Big East last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got a bowl birth - they played really well last year and are getting better recruiting every year.
Plus they have Dan Orlovsky, who may be one of the top 5 quarterbacks in the country. I'm hoping Terry Caulley comes back strong.

IU is #83 according to Sports Illustrated and #91 according to the Sporting News. Wooo-hooo! We're not at the bottom!

Do me a favor. Put aside your OK bias and watch a USC game and then tell me they are overrated.
Yeah,we don't play the toughest schedule, but we are the #1 team in the country and we deserve to be as we are talented and have depth. We'd gladly play Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU etc if it would shut our detractors up once and for all. We cannot do a thing about the current weakness of the Pac-10. What matters is that WE have the #1 recruiting class and WE are the Defending co-National Champs. Not Oklahoma.
So please quit your whining about a largely subjective poll and let the upcoming season speak for itself.

Geez.. you're sounding like a Texas fan
"Recruiting Champion"
"Co-Big 12 South Champions"
Being the "Recruiting Champion" means jack squat unless you can do something with them. Losing to Cal doesn't have me convinced. I don't think you're going to go very far on a class of true freshmen. Most should redshirt this year. For the record, I'd take the OU class over USC's last class -- less recruits, but the #1 QB and #1 RB in the nation ain't bad.
The toughest game on the USC schedule is Virginia Tech -- that's by far the toughest game. Until you play someone worth a crap, you deserve the same fate as the teams in the MAC that do the same thing and have a weak strength of schedule. With that weak conference, I'd be pissed if my athletic coordinator weren't scheduling more marquee type matchups.
The upcoming season for USC can't speak for itself. The games USC plays don't give the USC team any real tests. My guess is that they'll stumble at least once on some nobody team again.
***
For the record, I have watched USC play. I saw them lose to Cal. I saw them beat Michigan. They'd probably be 2nd or 3rd place in the Big XII, Big 10, SEC or ACC.
ETA:
It's great that we can actually be having this conversation. USC and OU are two programs that b/c of their history really should be in that "elite" status. It's nice to see them returned to their rightful place at the top of the ladder. I'd love to see OU v. USC in the Orange Bowl.

If y'all can just beat ISU... Shouldn't be hard this year. Although that freshman that they had at QB last year wasn't bad at all. His line was just pitiful.
