I think the best way to stay in touch are e-mail lists and regular updates to the web page...if you keep a few announcements on your web page, people will keep looking (web pages are such powerful tools...). In the e-mail's, mention how much you miss everyone and how you are excited about recruitment...they will be excited if you are. Encourage others to send e-mails out to keep everyone informed...give the girls an assignment...like see who can get the most pictures taken with other DG's during the summer...both chapter sisters and other sisters! You can even use these pictures for recruitment!
It's hard to stay in contact over the summer...we always make sure to have parent contact info (before girls leave for the summer, everyone addresses two envelopes to their summer address)...incase we need anything...

There are friends who pass like ships in the night, who meet for a moment, then sail out of sight, with never a backward glance of regret...Friends we meet briefly then quickly forget.
Then there are friends who sail together, through quiet waters and stormy weather. Helping each other through joy and through strife. And those are the kind who give meaning to life.
