Does the Delta Zeta Turtle have an official name?

Hi Ladies of the Pink & Green,As you know, DG has sort of a Raggedy Ann doll and she's called Hannah.

I was just wondering if the DZ turtle has an official name? (Sort of like how AXiD has Betts-Xi Bear)

 Please let me know!
 Thanks.

We don't have an official name for our turtle mascot, although I think some chapters may have their own nicknames. The president of my alumnae chapter calls the Beanie Baby turtle that she brings to meetings "Shelly". |

That's a great question, CP2K! At my chapter, we always called the DZ turtle "Rosie" but I think that was just us.
Carrie, wouldn't it be fun if National sponsored a contest to officially name our mascot??

			Hey DZ's,
I saw some turtle'ly stuff at Pier One:

"Turtle Yard Tea Light

A crafty convertible. Crafted from metal, this turtle has a convertible shell that lifts to reveal a tea light holder. Place a lit candle inside and close the shell to create an artful sidewalk or poolside luminary. A Pier 1 exclusive. (9 x 11 1/2 x 4"h) "

Glass Tortoise

Our lovable tortoise makes a hefty paperweight or interesting conversation piece. Clear glass body is covered with multi-sized green dots. (6 1/2 x 3"h)

There was also a large outdoor turtle ornament thingy as well....

Thanks, CP2K! Those are really cute; I love the paperweight especially. I have noticed that turtles seem to be in vogue this year for some reason!

Ok I know this thread is EXTREMELY old, but I am bored to death at work and just goofing off so I thought I would still post...
We have a turtle in our chapter that the TKE's gave us one time and he goes everywhere with us, such as retreat, conventions, etc. He gets passed around each week at meeting to someone who needs a little extra during the upcoming week or who did something a little extra for a sister the week before...ok enough rambling, anyway we named him Teekie Turtle...
