I watched the show last night. I bought the book yesterday, before I even watched the show. It's mind-blowing. What scares me is that it doesn't make a difference if you ask your partner or not. What good would that do? Do you think he'd tell you?? Of course not! If he did, he wouldn't be DL!
Now, here is what you DON'T get to hear on the show. Carla, listen up. J. L. King is originally from where? Springfield, Ohio (where we went to college, for y'all who don't know). Where did he go after he split from his wife? Columbus, Ohio (where we lived after college, for y'all who don't know). After I read that, I was like, whoa. DL in Springfield, Ohio. Who knew? And the dude he got caught with was somebody in his church. You know it ain't that many black churches in Springfield. Girl, girl, girl. I wanna ask Kisha and Erika do they know this family. They gotta know his daughter, because she is our age. Lawd.
All I know is I'm going to pay CLOSE attention to dudes from now on, and observe the eye-contact.
