Exclamation hmmmm

i am currently a junior at usc and a member of the greek population....i am not an expert in row politics and the advice I am giving could be somewhat off-base, but.... the basic frat reputations are no secret.

the delts, for instance, are still grappling with their newcomer status. not because they arent nice guys, but because they just started and have only recently managed to get rid of the strict "no alcohol" rules (which they had to follow while they were still a colony)...

zbt, kappa sig, and phi sig are all concentrated on the less hectic side of the row. zbt is a larger frat with strong brotherhood while kappa sig is much smaller and arguably less overwhelming. phi sig is the smallest frat of all, and the most insulur and mysterious...

these houses will make for a quieter row experience ...

i'm not gonna go into detail about the rest, but here is the layout, more or less...

delta chi, theta xi
---perhaps the friendliest, most down to earth
guys on the row are in these houses. the
guys get along very well and
can have a good time in any
situation, with anyone. They are not overly
preoccupied with row politics.

pi kapp, sig ep

phi psi, ae pi, sigma nu, tke

sigma chi, ato (thought these frats are in some
ways total opposites)

phi delt, lambda chi,

phi delt was unfortunately kicked off the row but continue to be a major presence, aided by the excellent parties the throw at the bungalow apartments right next to the row, lamda chi boys often are tall, athletic, and extremely attractive. the house has established very strong brotherhood without the use of a grueling pledge semester. They attract a lot of girls, which may be why they tend not to assosciate with other fraternities.

pike, beta

beta has long been a highly visible organization due to their combination of distinctive laid-back orange county style and admirable party planning skills (including hiring two live camels and a belly dancer to walk along the row to present girls' invitations to their Arabian Nights formal). Since loosing their charter, they have reinvented themselves as "stumpos raiders."
Both pike (and ato) have notably difficult pledge semesters, however, a majority of those who complete them have no complaints because the experience lays the groundwork for a remarkably close brotherhood.

sae
a very popular group made in the image of traditional
southern fraternities.

thats it, good luck.
