Interesting. The demands of life outside of college tend to diminish the amount of time one has to spend on one's organization. Career, marriage and family are just a few things that take up a woman's time once she has graduated from college. Negative undergrad experiences also serve to diminish a woman's desire to be active in her organization's graduate chapter. The primary deterrent for myself was the cost. It has only been recently that I have been able to afford the price of graduate level dues. I was one of a growing number of college graduates who couldn't get a good paying job when I graduated.
I'm sure that there are several other reasons why there are so many inactive members in sororoties.
