We really like to confuse the ladies that decide to rush and become new members here.... By that, I mean that we give them all the colors of the organization (partly because there are those of us who refuse to let the brown and mode go without mention and those who don't think they are pretty and we should use the local colors). So we say that our formal international colors are brown and mode and that our local colors are light and dark purple.

Whenever possible, we do mention to our new members (and sisters as well) about the creed colors and extention colors (at least that's what we were told they were).

When I joined five years ago, we didn't have our current local colors, our chapter thought that the creed colors were the informal colors of the sorority and that's what they used. We later learned that other chapters had local colors and adopted our own. But apparently back in the late 80s/early 90s our local colors were navy blue and pink...when they fell out of use, I'm not sure.
