I don't think you can say anything to people like that. They are stubborn and won't listen to anyone about anything. Those people always think they are right.
You know when I hear people say this I have to say it's not different then paying activities fees with your tuition so you can join on campus clubs. Even some organizations on campus (other than GLO's) have fees. So why are GLO's different? I don't know.
Honestly I try to ignore people like this because they will never have anything postive to say, no matter what you tell them.
For lack of a better word...they're just stupid.
