MS Walk 4/13/03

Hi All,

On April 13th the Iota Gamma Chapter is going to do the MS Walk at the LA Colisuem and through USC. I want to invite all my fellow Phi Sig sisters who are going to be in California that day to join our team. Actually I want to extend the invitation to any GreekChatters who are going to be in the area that day to join our team. Here is the link to do so (and it has a picture of the chapter at Founders Day this past year) http://give.chariteam.com/?x=2x53x98...468xnx1870x549
I hope some of you will be able to join us on this walk. We will meet at CSUDH and then Car Pool over there.

For those out there who can't join the team for the MS Walk but would like to help out in some small way I am looking for sponsors for the walk here is the link for sponsoring me http://give.chariteam.com/?x=1x53x98...x98941xnxnx549 If you don't feel comfortable using a debit or credit card online then PM me and I can send back my address where you can send a check or money order payable to the MS Society.

The MS Walk is one of the annual events that our chapter has decided to always do. As a founding sister I really encouraged this as my brother has Multiple Sclerosis and it is the form that is slowly taking him from us. I hope and pray that a cure can be found before this happens. Or at least a treatment that will work for Karl that will slow the progression of this disease. To add to my sadness about this, although Multiple Sclerosis doesn't necessarily run in families my sister told me a month ago that she has been diagnosed with MS as well. Thank God hers is a milder form that won't take her life.

Anyway, I'd love to have all of you join us on this walk if at all possible.

Carolyn

Talking I love my Phi Sig Sisters

Can I say that I love my Phi Sigma Sigma Sisters!!!!

One of the sisters from somewhere else in the U.S. was visiting our chapter website today. On the home page of the website I've posted about the MS Walk with links to the team page and to sponsor a sister. A Phi Sig by the name of Jennifer C. (won't put full last name here) sponsored me after visiting our webpage. That absolutely touched me, it even brought tears to my eyes. When I told my parents they were touched as well and I think it should them even one more reason why I am proud to be a Phi Sigma Sigma and can call all of you sisters.

If any of you visit the link I posted before you will see the message Jennifer left me. She didn't say what chapter she is from so if you know who she is can you send me her email address or tell her thank you very much from all my heart. That's the one bad thing about the MS site it doesn't give me an email address to send a thank you back to.

I love all of you and am proud to call you my sister!!

Carolyn

MS Walk 2004

bumping this up since we're doing the walk again

Hi All,

On Sunday April 18, 2004 the Iota Gamma Chapter is going to do the MS Walk at the LA Colisuem and through USC. I want to invite all my fellow Phi Sig sisters who are going to be in California that day to join our team. Actually I want to extend the invitation to any GreekChatters who are going to be in the area that day to join our team. You can access our team page by going to my site clveek.chariteam.com and then clicking on team page. I hope some of you will be able to join us on this walk. We will meet at CSUDH and then Car Pool over there.

For those out there who can't join the team for the MS Walk but would like to help out in some small way I am looking for sponsors for the walk it is the same link to sponsor me clveek.chariteam.com . If you go to the link you will also see a picture of some of my sisters and I from last years walk. My goal is to raise $1000. If you don't feel comfortable using a debit or credit card online then PM me and I can send back my address where you can send a check or money order payable to the MS Society.

It seems MS is really hitting close to home this year. One of our good family friends, Sharyn, she's like a mom to me, was diagnosed this past year with MS. One of my coworkers has been living with it for years but has had a really bad attack for the last 6 months to the point she was not able to work for a couple months of it. Then sadly one of my fellow students at CSUDH fiancee passed away in January from MS.

So, I'd love to have all of you join us on this walk if at all possible.

Carolyn
