Okay everybody. I have a confession. A situation similar to this happened, but I was the one with the cell phone!
I was sitting in class, taking a final. I usually always remember to turn my phone on vibrate if I'm in class, or somewhere where it is more appropriate to have my phone on vibrate. Not justifying my actions, but I was under extreme pressure (the final was in my quantitative methods class) and I forgot to put my phone on vibrate. Well, low and behold, someone decides to call me in the middle of taking my final!!!! I was so embarassed
. I apologized to my professor and to the class. But that experience made me even more conscious of turning my ringer off.
Man...I can imagine what my classmates and professor were thinking about me!!
