I've done a little late night sleuthing. . .
According to her bio, SDO'C was born in 1930. She did undergrad and law school at Stanford - graduated in 1950 and '52, respectively. The Stanford chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta was closed from 1944 until 1978. So, she's not a Theta. (And, until recently, we haven't done many alumnae initiates, so I'm pretty sure that's not the case.)
I think that all Stanford sororities were closed in 1944, so she may not be Greek. . .(or at least not an undergrad initiate).
Anyone else have info?
There are tons of sites out there that list her as being Greek, with no affiliation given. I've also found a list on the
Northeast Georgia Alumnae Panhellenic Council website including her as a Pi Phi!)
