Welcome! You are lucky to have a Nationals that close. The two Nationals during my undergraduate years were more than 1500 miles away from my school and home. (Houston in 1986 and Denver in 1988 with school in Pittsburgh, PA)

Offices I've Held: Just got elected VPM, and hope to gain some insight from this board!
Why I Joined APO: Most of my dorm floor during my 1st year were Brothers, and they struck an interest.
Anything Else: I value what APO has taught me the past few years more than any other experience I have had in college... and I hope that my final semester as an Active Brother and Vice President of Membership will be an excellent one prior to graduation.

Offices I've Held: None yet, but I'd like to change that once I've got a couple of semesters' experience under my belt.
Why I Joined APO: I was into community service and looking to get more involved on campus, and a few of my friends pledged in fall 2009 and wouldn't shut up about how much they loved it. =)
Anything Else: I love my brothers and I only wish that I'd found APO sooner. Four more semesters doesn't seem like enough time left with my brothers!

I was a second semester sophomore pledge too! (Spring 99) Don't worry -- there is a lifetime ahead of you to serve. I was Vice President and Pledgemaster as an undergrad, sponsored two petitioning groups, President of two alumni associations, and I chair my chapter's anniversary celebration next spring.

Maybe I am just making up for those lost semesters lol

Why I Joined APO: I found a flier my freshman year and wanted to join but due to schedule conflicts I couldn't. It has been in the back of my mind ever since and I really really wanted to! So I went out again this semester and made sure I could join

Anything Else: I hope it isn't too early for me to post here since initiation isn't for a few more weeks. But I love my fraternity and can't wait to be a full, active member

Offices I've Held: VP of Service, Historian, Secretary, VP of Membership (an office for every semester in)
Why I Joined APO: Our chapter is still very in touch with its ties to BSA. I am an Eagle Scout (along with about ten others in our group), and I met the president of this chapter through summer camps we worked together. I love helping out the community, and APO has changed my life in so many ways!
Anything Else: I managed to piece together the history of our first incarnation (1949-1962) despite almost twenty years before rechartering (1980). Thank you old yearbooks and a bigger thanks to an alumni office that doesn't know about why private info (like numbers) should be kept private!

It is just fine to post here as a pledge, it isn't limited to brothers. This is an open forum, periodically we get Gamma Sigma Sigma sisters and others from Greekchat commenting on the threads.

I would have wanted to post to a forum like this as a pledge as well, but in 1986, we had to build our forums out of rocks, dinosaur poop and bitnet.
