Eeeee! I just met a Pi Phi....

Omigosh! Tonight at the football game, I saw some people with an Arkansas blanket and it turned out that they knew some former cheerleaders I cheered with at UA! And THEN--their daughter, about 5 years younger than I am, ran up and said, "Are you a Pi Phi? (I was wearing a Pi Phi sweatshirt) I'm an Arkansas Alpha!!!!!" and we jumped up and down and gave each other the handshake. She lives here and I didn't even know it--their son dates our daughter's friend! My kids were holding their breath--they were afraid I'd start yeliing Pi Phi cheers or calling the Hogs.

Anyway--please tell about a time you unexpectedly met a Pi Phi!

my stories arent as exciting.. but this is the closest I have come to meeting pi phis..

two of my neighbors on either side of me (some area between us bc we live in a rural area) are both pi phis from william and mary.. (they are around my parents ages) so crazy..

my chapter was at arrowmont one weekend for our retreat and we were out by the sign. Two girls from a Kentucky chapter pulled up skooter type things saying how they were Pi Phis.. they had pictures taken with us with letters on..

A couple of sisters and I from the Ontario Gamma chapter of Pi Beta Phi went to Cancun, Mexico for spring break last reading week. During the week we decided to go to Playa Del Carmen and then to Cozumel for snorkelling and sight-seeing. When we were on the ship, an older lady from West Virginia Alpha (i'm pretty sure that was the chapter) came over to us and struck up a conversation after she saw our Pi Phi paraphenalia. We spent the day talking to her, exchanged contact information, shared in our Pi Phi memories and took some pictures of all of us. You can meet a Pi Phi anywhere you go... even while snorkeling under the water!!

The coolest thing ever was when a few of my sisters and I went to a football game for my boyfriend's college (the Monon Bell game between Wabash College and Depauw University) we were sitting on the Wabash side and we met Pi Phis from Franklin University and Ball State. The coolest was when one of the Pi Phis from Franklin gave me the handshake and did the whole password thing! It was so neat to know I had a bond with these girls and not even know them!

Im a sister of West Virginia Alpha and i live in Delaware, i was in the mall one day in delaware and i had my letters on this lady came upto me and was like Oh my god your a pi phi... and we talked for like 20 mins, she was a pi phi at... Syacuse? i think..anyways.. she was really nice and i thought it was neat that she came upto me in the middle of the mall!!

This summer I worked at a coffee and espresso bar, good times. During a incredibly long day, right in the middle of a pack of tourists, two girls walk in wearing letters, one in Pi Phi and the other in Gamma Phi Beta. My best friend and roomate this year is in Gamma Phi, so I was doubly excited, what are the odds that these two girls would be best friends and show up at my store?! I was so excited, and they were so nice!
