For the sake of arguement, let's just say that it was lost (like my bracelet), and you happen to be wearing it when someone gasps, "That looks just like the pin I lost last year!" I'm sure you & the original owner (assuming that she can prove that it was hers) can come to an agreement. If she truly lost it, and wants it back, she'll do whatever she has to do for it!

Thanks for putting it that way....I'm proud that I've been able to save such an important symbol of our sisterhood, yet am sad that for whatever reason, it was out there needing to be saved.
Maybe when I get involved with a chapter I'll suggest doing a TME about our badge and what should happen to it when you do eventually pass on
