It's true what they say "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." As an interviewer I always realized that "this is the BEST it's ever gonna be!" -- meaning...if there are grammatical mistakes on the resume, or if the candidate wasn't dressed appropriately, etc. -- it would never get any better! That being said, here are my pointers:
- smile
- firm handshake
- check resume for spelling & grammar
- dress appropriately
- have an answer for the question "What are your weaknesses?"
- send a follow-up letter after the interview
