*BUMP*

Wow, this is SO COOL that I just had to bump this thread up to post this!

So I've worked in the library at my university for about a year. I work in Interlibrary Loan, but I know everyone that works in the library. At the library Christmas party, one of the ladies that works in Reference came up to me (I was wearing letters) and informed me that she, too, is an SAI!! She was in a chapter up north. Now she will soon be affiliating with the local alum chapter.

As I think I posted earlier in the thread, my advisor who is also my professor again this semester is an Acacia from Alabama. My Theo professor was alumni initiated into Phi Kappa Theta at Marquette when they were still open.

As for at my "workplace," there's a Chi Omega from Wisconsin and an Alpha Phi from Marquette. One of the girls is also very interested in pursuing membership in a BGLO, but I obviously can't say much more than that.

Fifty percent of our company is Greek.

Of course there are only two of us in the company.

I lifeguard at a really nice private pool called Wilson's Beach Club..

I was extremely yet pleasantly surprised at how many greeks worked there...

There were probably about 40 guards plus front desk workers, 90% of them out of high school were members of a fraternity or sorority...

I started working there the summer before senior year in high school, so everyone was a GREAT source of information.. Since I knew close to absolutely nothing about greek life.. Very cool.

I wore my ZTA windbreaker to work today. I didn't think anyone in my office was greek. My boss came over to me and said, "I didn't know you were a Zeta." He told me that he was a Phi Kappa Theta at the University of Missouri- Columbia back in the late 50's/early 60's.

I'm an attorney now and one of my interviews (who later became a close work friend!) was also an Alpha Phi....people at my firm don't tend to discuss affiliations, but I have discovered that in addition to us two Alpha Phis, we have a Kappa and a Pi Phi!

I've been working as a substitute teacher at one particular school for a while now, and here is our Greek breakdown:

One Alpha. ME!

Two AKA's, the speech and language pathologist and the Pre-K teacher.

Two Deltas, 3rd and 4th grade teachers.

The rest (surprisingly for the DC Public Schools) are not Greek.
