bid day

This morning any girl going through recruitment that signed her bid card goes to the student life office to get her card to see which sorority she was matched with. If for some reason she was not matched her Rho CHi personally visits her. Between 3 and 3:30 all PNM's joining a group meet in the chapel. Gtown is a small Baptist affiliated college and the chapel is the focus of the school. The PNM's get all dressed up in crazy attire with the sororities colors mascots etc. Some girls get really creative. The 4 sororities stand at the bottom of the chaple steps and they too are all dressed up and singing and chanting songs, waving flags holding signs etc. In small groups of about 2-5 girls they run out of the chapel and into there group where they usually recieve a sweatshirt or tshirt that all the other girls are wearing. THis is a huge event on campus and many other people watch, the frats, alum independents. Even parents of the PNM's come down and watch. It gets pretty crazy!! When AGD colonized on campus we had to show our advisors video of past Chapel Days (that is what we call it at Gtown). They couldn't believe what they saw. Everyone should experience Gtown Chapel Day at least once!
