Merry Christmas Sorors and Sisterfriends!

Now let me say that I have a couple friends and even family members that are gay, but I'll admit that when I first saw "Queer as Folk", I thought it was a little racy. But Soror MaMaBuddha is right, any time gays are shown on tv, they are shown in a happy-go-lucky, almost juvenile light. While we see many scenes of heterosexuals in bed, we NEVER see homosexuals in this way. Even in public they are forced to hide their affection from the rest of the world. This is probably why many feel this new show is offensive. I personally don't like to watch anything that is too raunchy, but I'm just a prude! Anyway, I just wanted to say that I feel that being gay is not a choice, so why shouldn't we try to make an effort to accept people for who they are instead of forcing them to be who we want them to be.

Well, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy New year to everyone!

Tiffany
