As long as the bride isn't really picky and actually lets the groom plan, it's a great idea.
Usually, the bride is the one who has all the ideas of what she wants and has to have. That's why it just makes sense for her to do most of the planning so that she isn't disappointed. Not as many guys are as particular with every little detail.
I planned my wedding for the most part and I don't think I would have done it any other way.
