i chose dz for a very terrible reason:
there was a girl in my speech class, and she was absolutely beautiful. perfect hair, gorgous clothes and the cutest shoes. one day i saw her in letters, and a couple of weeks later i saw a sign for informal rush for dz. i went to rush, and FELL IN LOVE with all the girls there. that semester, i didn't get a bid (i cried for a WEEK) and i resigned that i wasn't pretty enough, like that first girl to get in.
as the semester went on, i met more girls from the chapter, and became pretty close to a couple of them. the next semester i had an out of town internship, so i missed roundtable rush.
next semester (third in story) i went back, scared to death these wonderful girls would reject me again. turns out they all remembered me, and they were so impressed that i tried again - and i got a bid that time!!!!
as i pledged (new member-ed??) i learned so much about these girls, and while the chapter is still full of the most beautiful girls, but the most important thing is the personalities of my sisters...
