Yeah, a lot of that is stuff we discussed in my Texas History class last semester.

The Alamo wasn't fought as much for Independence as it was to make Mexico adhere to the tenents of the Constitution of 1824. That's why one of the flags flown over the Alamo was the mexican flag with the eagle and snake replaced with 1824.

There were just as many Tejanos fighting for the Alamo as whites.
