Cool "this is the circle of trust"... :-)

it was tough for me to have my "friend who's a boy that we're not dating, but we are" ::rolls her eyes::

come and meet my parents. The first week we were together (we'd been friends for a year) he told me he wanted to meet my folks (he's from VA and goes to school here in IN). It was scary for me because I knew that an ex GF of his from back in HS came across the EX title because of her dad. He told my boy that he couldn't see his daughter anymore (overprotective much?) So, when he said he wanted to meet my parents, i was kind of scared FOR him....i hoped that my dad wouldn't freak him out and scare him off, but he didn't! My dad loves him and he really admires my dad...his dad died when he was younger and so he never really had a GOOD dad figure (single mom's boyfriends don't count) and I'm happy that he and my dad get along so well.....
When his mom and her long-time boyfriend come to pick him up at the end of the school year, I'll be meeting her...I'm kind of nervous......I've not too often been in the relationship level of parent meetings...but I meet new people alot, so I know how to handle it....

In short (it's 3:30am and I'm rambling) I think it's equally hard to begin with, but it's adding in life that makes the individual difference between how hard it is for either person
