I had similar questions last year when I was going through the process of transfering to Miami of Ohio (pre-tuition hike). For my sorority, it depends on how many years I was active at my initiating chapter. For example, I still have one full year left to be active since I left my school after I had already given two years of membership. I am alumnae now, but if I so chose to go to a school that had my organization (like Miami) I could return to active staus for one year if I chose and if their chapter had room to affiliate me. If your sorority is like mine and you haven't used all your years, you should be fine. I don't think it matters if you go to a community college in between.
