This is a regional phrase which could be translated as the following:

ok. I'm a southern (true to heart ) Memphis belle and a Detroiter. Memphis has sooooooo much slang it's RIdiculous! However, in Detroit they say

1. scudded ---means you trippin'
2. skully- means good ol'fashioned head bangin action (if you know what I mean)
3."that's bold"-means you are forward,blunt.

Philly has much of its own slang.

Bul - synonymous with boy. The pronunciation is different than the spelling. The 'L' is soft and you really have to hear it for yourself.

Jawn - synonymous with girl.

Ackie (ack for short) - pronounced as if you were saying the name Akhbar. It's used the same as bul i.e. What up Ack?

Also, jonin' (with a long 'o' sound). Synonymous with crackin', you know, the dozens. Tellin' jokes.

So, what's the slang where you live? And I did a search already,
too.

When I first heard the term 'carry' or 'curry", I was like WTF???!! I knew this guy on my campus who used to refer to men and women as 'bammas' and 'broads'.

urrrrea-mainly used by people in PG (Prince George's County, THE largest, most wealth Black county in the country **Shameless plug**) to describe a particular area, or the Metro area in general

Cuz, Joe, Slim, Young, Youngin- along the lines of "dawg"

Girl, you know that Yo! sounds crazy. It's almost like Yeeeeeeeeuuuuuuurp!

I knew I was forgetting something and when you posted Drawn, I felt so stupid for missing that one.

Drawn - being "extra" about something or acting inappropriately.
"Yo, teacher was drawn today with that 15 page paper" or "How you gon ask me about my mistress in front of my wife? You drawn for that."

Here in New Orleans, there are PLENTY, but here are only two. I am too tired to come up with more! I'm sure that someone will have my back. If not, once I get some sleep and am refreshed, I'll have more.

We "make groceries": to go grocery shopping ( There is no food in the house. I need to make groceries.)

We order our po-boys "dressed": means that you want mayo, lettece, tomato, pickles, etc. on your sandwich

I'm from the north...a little slice of city called Harrisburg....this is what I say even though know one I know from Harrisburg talks like this:

Hot mess - it usually means something bad...like if your hair is jacked up in the morning I would say "That's a hot mess."

Trust - it's like saying "Believe that," others say "Don't get it twisted".....I use this sometimes....

I have to disagree, that extended Yo that sounds more like Yerrrrruuurp! is orginally from Brooklyn...It's a warning call for when the Poe-poe (Police) are coming.

We also say 5-0 and 'dem boyz for Police Officers

Loose ~ crazy, funny, acts a fool

Bird ~ ghetto chick

G-unit ~ homosexual (this was actually conceived as a way of talking about one who is without being disrespectful..so not to put that persons business in the street...say if your on a crowded train)

Tight ~ very upset
