Prayer Requests - Page 22

Ok so I feel kinda bad posting something as trivial as this after all these posts about loved ones dying, but I've been dating this guy for 3 months and I mean I really thought he was "the one." He's got just about everything I've ever looked for in a guy. He's older than me, good looking, has a good job, educated, funny, wants a family, serves in a ministry, is the same "brand" of Christian that I am, and some other things that were very specific. Well, I thought things were going great........but Sunday he told me that he thinks I'm beautiful and smart and funny and wonderful and pretty much everything HE is looking for, but he just doesn't see this going anywhere.

I was pretty shocked and haven't fully recovered. It was so hard to go to church on Wednesday because for the first time in 2 months I didn't sit with him and I barely had a chance to talk to him. His mom came up and gave me a really big hug and said everything would be ok, but I dont know. It's hard to sleep at night when you've talked on the phone every night before bed for the last 3 months and now you don't. Anyway, I'm just sad, confused, and a little hurt by the whole thing. He says he must be crazy and that he doesn't want to break up, but he feels like it is the right thing to do. Sigh. He said he's sorry because he knows what it's like to have more feelings for someone than they have for you ( did I mention he's a TINY bit arrogant

) but it wasn't any easier for him. Whatever, I go between anger and sadness daily, so we'll just see how it all pans out. Thanks for listening........

((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) So sorry to hear!!! Men suck sometimes, well a lot of times until you find the right one. I've been in your position many times and I don't have words to make you feel any better really. Hold your head high!!! Although it may not be what you want to hear, if you haven't read 'He's Just Not That Into You', its a GOOD book to read!!!

Once again sorry to hear about the break up. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I wish I could give you a big old hug to remind you that we've all been there. By what his mother said, the whole story may not be over, just this chapter. You'll get through this, and if it's supposed to be, you'll look back at this as one of the speedbumps on the road of life. And if it's NOT supposed to be, then he is the roadkill.

And Sweetie, that's why we're here - for the good times and the bad. My prayers are with you, Sister.

Breakups are just awful .. and I really hope you can get through this ok. Just know that everything he said was true (beautiful and smart and funny and wonderful) and that you deserve someone who is going to see all that, and not want to let it go. Hey Ladies-

My mother is having surgery on her C-Spine today to remove 2 compressed disks. It was supposed to be a few weeks ago, but she caught the flu and they had to postpone it. Sooo now it's today, and I feel horrible because I just flew back to Miami last night from NY and I wish I could be close to her and my family. Just trying to keep busy catching up on the past few days until I get that phone call saying everything went alright and she's in recovery. Even though I know if I was home there is nothing I could do, I just feel entirely helpless being 1700 miles away. Hopefully it will all be over within the next hour.

Please pray for me also....I had a very difficult week...something traumatic happened to me...I would rather not talk about it online...but please just pray for me that I can get through a difficult time. Thanks!

An update on my mother. Her surgery went well and her recovery so far has been amazing. The doctors said that she should be home sometime tomorrow afternoon and will be back to herself in no time. Thank you for keeping her and my family in your thoughts and know that you are all in mine as well.

Sisters I am asking for your prayers!! I have 2 really good full-time job leads... one of which I had a successful phone interview with earlier today. I've been pouring out resumes since October and it's been a month today since graduation. My part-timing days are officially over as of Friday, so I am really hoping to get some good full-time employment very soon.

Sisters, could you keep my dad's side of the family in your prayers tomorrow? My grandfather passed away on Monday, and the funeral is set for tomorrow. I'm honestly doing alright (as those of you who can read my LJ know), but it's hard not being able to be there to say goodbye and help my family during this difficult time.

I prayed before I typed, but I'll continue to do so this weekend. How are your parents doing? My daddy's mother died when he was 53, and he still said, "I'm an orphan," as if he was in shock. Please send them my love and sympathies.

My little diamond's grandfather passed away this monday and she isn't doing so great with it, they were really close. She says her grandmother is also not doing so great......they were married for 63 years. I can't imagine. It makes me sad because I know how close I am to MY grandpa......just please keep her and her family in your prayers. Thanks
