Something else I just thought of to post...can't believe I didn't post it yesterday.
I'm proud to be a San Diegan (okay, an outlying San Diegian countywise
) based on the amount of support that poured out to help those affected by the Wildfires in the county.
One of our radio stations (Star 100.7) and tv stations (Local 8 - KFMB) teamed up to sponsor a fundraising drive held yesterday morning at the Sports Arena. Over the course of four hours, they were able to raise over 1.25 million dollars that will all stay here in San Diego to help those families who lost things in the fire....not to rebuild their homes, but to help rebuild their lives by buying a teddy bear or other small things.....and they haven't completed counting all the money that came in yet!
