Gift Ideas???

Hi, I'm on the AAC for my chapter and my Chapter Advisor is leaving in December. She has worked really hard for the chapter and the AAC. I would like to do something as a gift from the chapter and AAC but I have no ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Ideas

I have given retiring chapter advisors a pendant made of three different colored pearls arranged horizontally to symbolize how their participation in AOII has changed with their past, present, and future.

Emporium also has historical badges in a variety of price ranges. Ask for Shelley.

If I were a retiring chapter advisor, I would LOVE to get the alternating ruby and pearl lavalier (Christin and I adore this lavalier....just in case anyone has missed out on this point). I think this lavalier in goldgloss is around $88.

Pearl and Ruby Lavaliers Rock :D

When I stepped down as CA to return to college, I was blessed with a beautiful "thank you" gift. It's a small wooden music box (about 4 x4 inches square and maybe 3 inches deep, with a dark walnut stain.) It's absolutely beautiful, and has a thank you message engraved on the top. I treasure it!

Is she nearing a "milestone" in her membership? AOII has the new 25 year pin, and also the 50 year. If she's eligible you can always present these to her. You can also consider presenting her with a Rose Award at your Founders Day celebration, and nominating her for a Rose Award at the next LI/Convention.

What about a "living" gift to honor her? If the chapter is housed you could plant a tree, purchase a new computer (or something else the chapter needs more of), or even rename a room in her honor. How about a donation to Foundation or if you have enough resources, funding a scholarship or award in her name?

Let us know what y'all decide to do...Oh, and that lavalier is always a good idea!

Roses,
Christin
