Okay, okay, how many of y'all have children of your own now! C'mon, anybody??
Yeah, my mom (and grandmother) did all that crazy stuff too (esp the spit

) but now I find myself doing a lot of the same things.
As a mother of 2 rambunctious (sp?) boys, ages 4 and 6, I see myself turning into my mother/grandmother. I will call up and down the block/store/etc to find my child; however, I use their public nicknames to avoid publishing their identity. I had to spit on my oldest son's leg scrape to keep the dirt out until we got back to the car and the first aid kit. I also make sure that they don't act like they have a maid (ie picking things up off the floor). I also ask them to get things because these old bones (I'm 33) are not as limber as they used to be. LOL
You know that there is a saying that you must be careful lest you turn into your parents. For most of us it is a good thing. But the flip side is to watchout because your children may end up acting just like you!
