Yeah, I've got to say, Halloween is wierd to me.

Perhaps it's because it wasn't very commonly celebrated in my area growing up (I never went trick or treating, dressed up in costume, etc) but I just find the whole thing odd... a little odd for the kids... WAY odd for grown adults.

Not to mention, I don't like candy, so there's not even that lure.

That said, we're going to a Halloween party in Madison (near S&S) tomorrow, and I'm a little freaked. Madison gets kind of wild on Halloween... I don't remember if it was last year or the year before (year before I think) but my good friend had his car lit on fire. Not cool.

I'm not really interested in it besides the excuse to have a free food day at work.

Yes but if you take the pack of squirrels out of your butt for about 10 seconds you'd be less irritated and realize I was "joking".

I loved Halloween when I was little. Parties, trick-or-treating, and lots of candy The only annoying thing was that my parents HAD TO go to the early vigil Mass for All Saints' Day - which was during prime trick-or-treat time. They wouldn't even entertain the notion of going to the late vigil. So I had to come home from school, put on my costume, trick-or-treat at like 3:30pm when the only other kids out were the really little ones, then put on a nice outfit and go to church.

Now, I could take it or leave it. It's fun to see the kids in their cute little costumes but other than hand out candy, I don't do anything.
