Totally agree! I read it in 8th grade...after I found it hidden in the cabinet w/the cook books-it freaked my mom out so much, she didn't want me to read it!!! Same thing with "It." The book scared the crap out of me, but no movie could scare me as much as my own imagination.

I guess that's why "Shawshank" & "Green Mile" made better movies...b/c they weren't all about supernatural/scary/weirdness.

Kathy Bates was pure greatness in "Misery."

My daughter's nickname is "Firestarter" because I swear, she could set fire to things with her eyes if I let her get mad enough!
