Anybody in Kansas City?
May be an odd question, but is there anyone from Kansas City? We are driving into KC on the 4th and we can't find a single place to stay on Sat. night. EVERYTHING is sold out. If someone can give me some ideas, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Brooke

Yeah! I PM'd him and havn't heard back. What a nightmare. We live in Colorado and are BIG KC CHielfs fans and are going to the Bronco/KC game and the Nascar Race is the same weekend so EVERYTHING and I MEAN EVERYTHING is sold out! Yikes! Next time, I'll know better!
Thanks and hopefully i'll hear from Tom!

In addition to the game and the race, this weekend is also the American Royal Barbecue which is huge here too.Have you checked suburbs on both sides of the state line or are you just checking the Missouri side? How far out of the city are you willing to stay?

Looked Everywhere
I have looked everywhere. Both sides, up and down! I guess I should have booked earlier, but didn't realize it would be this difficult. I only need a room for Sat. night. Well, maybe KC needs more hotels?? I am willing to travel about 40-50 min., would rather not, but will if need be!
Well thanks and I'll just keep my fingers crossed that something become available for that night!

I live in KC---- as I was driving to work this morning listening to the news there was a blurb about hotel rooms for the weekend. The KC Tourist Dept (or whatever they are called) said there are very few rooms left anywhere in the metro area. As mentioned, the NASCAR race, American Royal BBQ, and the Chiefs/Bronco game has everything sold out. And to sum up the news--basically if you are lucky enough to find a room -be prepared to pay through the nose for it!!!!
Good luck.

Anyone know how far St. Joe is from KC? That's what first came to mind when you said you'd be willing to look outside of KC!

St Joe is about an hour outside of town, north of the airport. But with everything going on this weekend, I would plan on longer traffic delays.
Maybe you could check in Lawrence, KS--- not a bad drive to the speedway--a little longer to Arrowhead---but it could be just far enough out of town to find a room.

Well for alls info, Brooke and I have PMed a lot to day! Well along with other things with GC!i
With the Chiefs only 2,500 tickets left to the public! Just a "FEW ROOMS" to be rented!
With the NASCAR, Hell, come from a 10 State area!
KC Hotel/Motel rooms as of this morning sold out for at least a 100 mi. radius! Or even farther out than that!
My store is 3 miles from the Speedway and dont get but 1 % business.
This weekend in KC is going to be Hell! Race , Football, and then the Reni Fest, American Royal BBQ, one of the biggest + 2 conventions, and a whole lot of things!
Ha Ha, KC, one of the best kept secrets in The Country!
