My First Lil!!!

Hey girls! I just got my first lil and need some help. I have been "collecting" DZ stuff over the past year but I still need some more things. I really like making stuff and would like to make a lot of the things I give her. Does anyone have any tips or ideas? or, what was your favorite thing you got from you Big or something great you saw another sis give/get? Thanks for all the help! I'll keep you all posted on how GREAT its going!

OK-keep in mind that I am OOOLLLDDD. My favorite thing that my big gave me was a sweatshirt w/a very cute turtle screenprinted on it, and "Susan's Li'l Sis" embroidered below it. In the same vein, my favorite gift from one of my li'l sisters was a long sleeve t-shirt that she had painted with 2 little girls wearing pink & green dresses with DZ letters (one with short blond hair like her and one with long curly reddish-brown hair like me) holding hands & "Amy's Big Sis" painted below it.

Congrats on getting a lil. It is such an exciting time! I am not sure what stuff that I got was just stuff within my chapter but here are some ideas. I got a photo album, she took a photo album that you buy at the store and covered it with fabric. Also I got a box to put my badge in. She decorated it. A lot of people in my chapter get their family tree on a pillow or baby blanket. I also got a lot of picture frames that were decorated. It is an easy and cheap project. Also she made me a door hanger and decorated it. That is all I can think of for the moment. Good luck!

i just got my big! the things i liked most were the things she made. a really cute ideas are those picture boards. it's like a big board, covered in fabric and ribbon, and you stick photo's in the ribbon. if that makes sense...

Ya'll I hate to crash your board but I just saw today in Bed, Bath, and Beyond some turtle back massagers. I saw this thread and thought instead of starting a new thread I'd just post it in this one since it's kind of appropriate!
