If you're into suspense and mystery, anything by Mary Higgins Clark is good...plus it's easy reading too. Nicholas Sparks is really good and my favorite has to be The Notebook (I'm so excited that they're going to make a movie out of..about time!). If you want something cutesy in a fantasy world filled with puns and whatnot, try Piers Anthony's Xanth novels.
