The induction phase of Atkins doesn't allow fruit - too much sugar. Once induction is over, you're allowed to add little bits of fruit in - especially berries, because they don't have as much sugar.

You can drink alcohol while on Atkins, but you have to be careful. No alcohol during induction. Afterwards, you can have low-carb beer (Guinness is right out ), dry wine (red or white), or hard liquor. The beer and wine have a few carbs that you have to count, but most hard liquor has no carbs, so you could have (say) a martini, or scotch on the rocks. No mixers with sugar.
