After having grown up in a tiny tiny town, and escaping to a medium-sized city for college, I can't imagine going back there to live, even though I think my parents would love it if I did! So, I understand where you're coming from. I would say move. You have family there, and probably a lot of friends too, so it's not as if you're moving off to the big city without a clue.
