Yet another SoCal GreekChat gathering..woohoo!! =D

			Hi everyone!
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in going to the LA County Fair while it's in town. It's over at the Pomona Fairplex as usual. Right now I just want some idea of people who might want to go.

I was thinking of requesting a Friday off from work or if not then I guess we could go for at least half the day on Saturday. Tickets are $14 for general admission but I can get discounts through my school and also through my co-worker. More details on that later. This is just to give me some idea to see if this get together is possible or not. So let me know...leave a msg here or pm me.

I might be up for it, depending on the date and everything. Keep in mind that recruitment is coming up in SoCal (Sept-Oct) so there might be a lot of people who aren't able to go on specific dates. When exactly is the LA County Fair? I've seen lots of advertisements lately, but my eyesight is too bad to read the dates on the fliers I've seen!

Yes I realize that. The fair is from the 12th to the 28th. I know for sure I'll be going with 2 other people. We decided to go on the 20th, which is a Saturday.
Panda: Have you ever been to the LA County Fair? I would have to say it's quite an experience. Haha all I ever seemed to do last year was eat, eat, eat and drink lemonade every now and then. We did a lot of looking around too. The fair is like Infomercials Galore. But overall it's pretty fun and also depends on the company you're with. I went with my coworker and her family.

 | My goodness! You can't have a fair without pigs! And also race horses, chickens, sheep, etc...you know the typical barnyard animals. Sorry for the pun but you had it coming.

So when are you guys planning on going?
I'm going to be in the moving process to Diamond Bar/Pomona Area next week. I might be in the area on the 20th with another sister but that depends on whether or not we go to vegas.

Hehe. I don't think it's really getting anywhere. Oh well. Unless I totally missed it in the first page. Looks like it's just going to be the three of us for sure as far as I'm concerned:
 1. phisigscooby
 2. phisigduchesscv
 3. mareimbrium
 4. hbadpi - maybe

I'd love to come but I don't think I can get away from down in San Diego for that time....especially driving by myself Still trying to learn the CA freeways after driving on Chicagoland tollways for three years!

So I'm assuming this may not work out. Either way, I can't go; I have the CSET the morning of the 20th and that's my birthday anyways, so I'll be out with friends.
What if we plan something a little more like the one last time? Where there's more notice of what's going on and we can get more people out? Possibly in late October or November since recruitment will be over and people will be back for school?

I'd be willing to organize it, if need be. PM me or email me at gphiangel624@yahoo.com if you're interested.

It doesn't really matter to me whether or not it works out. I just wanted to throw the idea out. My two friends and I are going regardless. This idea was a total spur of the moment thing and besides a lot of schools started and are in their rush week, recruitment week, whatever. You're more than welcome to plan an event with more advanced notice and planning. =) The last one we had at Downtown Disney was loads of fun.
polarpi: so sorry you can't join us. and yeah i know about the freeway system. gotta tell ya that I once got lost in the bay area for at least five hours trying to find that darn 5 S freeway. even the enterprise rent a car place gave me faulty directions! hehe
