Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am back! Thank you all so much for your support! Seriously I don't think i could have gotten through rush without all of your help and encouragement.
So anyways on bid day we had to wait an extra 45 minutes before we got our bid cards. All of the groups were in different classrooms and when they gave us our cards we had to sit on them and wait 5 minutes before we could open them up. So when they got to the 10 second mark i was like freeking out hoping that it would say my #1 choice. And when I finally got to open it I was so excited because it said ALPHA CHI OMEGA!! The whole room started screaming at that point and I was doing the same thing. However, I felt bad because my two really good friends that I made throughout the week got their 3rd choice
so I didn't want to be too happy and make them feel bad. But seriously I was like going crazy inside.
Then we had to all run out to the quad where all the sororities were waiting for us with these huge signs. And we all got these t-shirts. Our theme was like las vegas/Casino. So on the front it says Jackpot with some dice and on the back it has that famous welcome to las vegas sign except it says A Chi O and University of washington bid day 2003! Then we got these 2 huge SUV Limos to take us down greek row to our new home. Where all the frat guys were out filling the streets and side walks to see the new pledges. It was awesome, there was a ton of music playing and a red carpet up to the door and confetti money flying everywhere.
So yeah it was so exciting and I didn't know that we had to move in right away, i was planning on going home first. But i couldn't so I just called my parents and had them bring me up the stuff and I Knew that you guys would be dying to know what happened so I told my mom that she needed to let you all know before you guys go crazy.
I am so happy that I got my first choice and it's cool because we are right on 17th street which is the main greek row at UW. I don't have my list with me right now about which candy is which sorority but I'll try to figure it out and let you guys know.
