At weddings we go to, we usually sing a song as well. We usually sing "Sisters" It has one line in it about Phi Mu, but you might be able to tweak the lyrics to fit your sorority, so you may be able to sing it at the reception. We grabbed the DJ and asked him to have the bride come out to the dance floor. And we all circled around and sang it together. We were all crying, and the other guests thought it was really sweet.

Actually, that's an official Phi Mu song, so I wouldn't recommend using that. (sorry... it's not the same as a "call" ). But, RoseNWhite, I know you had good intentions!

Maybe if you guys have a special open ritual song you could sing that?

One thing I've seen at my cousins' weddings in NY is the take the large part of the bride's veil (or maybe have a huge part made) and as the bride and groom are dancing, the bridal party and family are in a circle around them. They are each holding an end of the veil so that it is like an umbrella over the couple. As the song goes on, the veil is slowly lowered and eventually completed draped over the couple, and the outer circle holds hands while still circling them. This dance actually has something to do with virginity, but I guess it may be a really sweet way to do something for the couple, like enveloping them with your love.
