Well, it was the other way around for me. I met my husband through his cousin, which was a close friend of mine at the time. Actually this was during high school. Here's the story... I went to the store with my aunt and my little cousin, Chekevia, who begged me to go to the store with them. I wasn't into it because I was just getting up, and I wasn't dressed. So, when we got to the store, this guy got out of his car. He was soooo cute. I told my cousin to look at him. So we had the eyeball thing going on. Then he went over to talk to my aunt. I was thinking, dag he must be related to me or something because he hugged my aunt. So, I am sitting there in awe and waiting for him to talk to me. He then goes to his car and get in. I get out of the car, and he blows for me. I'm looking around like who is he blowing at. He motions for me to come over. I did. He asked my name, I tell him. He asked where I lived. I told him next door to my aunt, who he hugged. I asked his name. He told me. I was like, what is your last name. He told me his first name was all I needed to know. You know that was a turn off. He told me he had just got off of work because I was noticing how dirty he was. A couple of days later, he got one of his friends to bring him over my aunt's house and walk across to my house to get me to come out side. My grand dad wasn't going. He said if that boy wants to talk to me, he has to come over here. I toldhis friend's that I didn't want to talk to him. So, he knew me and his cousin went to the same school so he went to her for the hook up. The next morning I got on the school bus, she was like, Cave, I know someone who want to talk to you. I was like who. She told me it was her cousin that I met at the store. She said that he was begging her to get us together. So I was asking his cousins about him. They assured he was straight. So one day I saw him pass by my house, so I told my cousin let's walk to his cousin's house, about two houses down. I knew this man had to come back through there. So on our way to his cousins, he came back down the street. I flagged him down and got in the car with him. We have been together for 13 years and married for 11 years. I landed a good catch.
