Y, I can understand that you would like to have as much information about Alpha Kappa Alpha as you can get. I was the first (and still the only) AKA in my family. I pledged Spring of '95. Even though my mom's best friend is an AKA and I had a few friends in the undergraduate chapter before I was initiated, there was a limit to what they would tell me simply because there are some things that can't be told. When I decided to go forward with initiation, the graduate advisor was the person that explained what was expected of everyone as well as what was acceptable and things that would not be tolerated. The only information I had before pledging were the basics such as when and where the sorority founded. If you decide to go forward with pledging, you will eventually be told everything you need to know. I personally do not feel comfortable posting anything specific about my sorority's initiation process.
