It's hard to lose people. Even hard to lose people that we haven't had the chance to talk to in a while. There has to be a mixed feeling of saddness and guilt (for not staying better friends). Just remember that you both touched each others lives at one point and in a small way, knowing her changed you. You are supposed to be sad or angry. I'd suggest sitting down and writing a letter to her. Tell her about what has happened to you since last you talked, tell her what you though of her, write some of your favorite memories, and tell her that you miss her. Tuck the letter away somewhere and pull it out when out later if you get sad...it's a small way to settle things within yourself.
And of course, your sisters are here for anything. You know how to get in touch with me if you need to!
