You say that your're moving in 9 months, and don't want to get started with the alumnae group in your current area. Will it take that long for AI in the group you are interested in? If it would only take a month or two, I say explore your options with the current alumnae club. I'm sure they would love to have you, and having sisters in your new area would make the move that much easier!! Of course, I don't know all the details of your situation, so you may have checked all of this out already.
