I must admit it makes me a little upset to see black athletes marry white women once they have reached their "status" and I guess SOME would consider that turning your back on your people. But I think that this whole cases might turn racial much like the OJ case plus, with the town only having (2) two AA I don't think that he hearing is going to be as equal as it could be....one of the first things I would have requested is an change of venue!

What do you all think?
Kobe isn't even 25 years old yet, what expectations does this woman have of him??? Who said Kobe was leaning on the AA community??

Vanessa's mostly Latina, which means that if you dig far enough into her family tree, you will find people of African descent.

Like Steeltrap posted, there are plenty of AA athletes/celebs with AA spouses who don't do much for our community.

You're right. But if you don't support your own community then don't expect that support in return. Kobe was no-show at the BET Awards 2 years in a row but somehow made his way to two 'mainstream' award shows in the midst of a sexual assault charge hanging over his head.

He turned his back on his own BLACK parents and dumped his BLACK girlfriend for a Hispanic girl who had not even finished high school. And now he's reaching out to black folks??? I think it's a little too late.........

FYI: Kobe reconciled with Jellybean and Pam (his parents) after the birth of Natalia.

And remember, it was a jury full of AfAms who saved Ohhhjjenthal from his date with ol' Sparky.

Yea, we did save OJ But I think the jury and the AA community were really showing their support for Johnny Cochran.
