I remember that it was pretty bad. Grand Central is one of the most beautiful public spaces now. I also remember a seedy Times Square. Now it looks like Disney and Warner Brothers cartoon characters are taking over.

And a most impressive NYPD presence. Even though the mini-station has been there for years, the police just seem more visible since 9-11.
