Okay here is my thing...what are people so afraid of? Like does ANYONE on GC carry that much gravity? I mean I *like* to hear what other people have to say even if I totally disagree. Sometimes things on here truly piss me off. I try not to get personal (although I am human and I do it anyway sometimes), but for the most part I just try to acknowledge everyone's perspective.

I just don't understand how anyone can be scared to state their opinion. This is a freaking messageboard. Who cares what we think of you?

Because, on here, just like IRL, there are the "popular" posters, the ignored posters, and the newbies.

The popular ones do have some "pull", the ignored ones leave thus leaving some wondering "Where has everyone gone?", and the newbies feel left out and clueless to the inside jokes.

Also, it make be a message board, but this thread had me wondering...

Would you consider us a group of friends?

(Not just you, but what does everyone think?)

This may be an "anonymous" board, but once you start meeting IRL, knowing what chapters everyone is from, add in that some people may be involved on a national level, that wall of mystery starts to break down...

Seriously, this board is still interesting. I sometimes get nervous posting threads because I see so many people respond with "there is already a thread on this". That is kind of annoying. But I came here for information. And I like the posters, so I stuck around. And if I am ignored, I probably won't leave. I think most people stay on gc because they find the kinship stimulating, I don't think most people leave because they are ignored. Some folks have bonded over their time on GC. I don't see that relationship as them ignoring me. They don't know me yet.
