The Good, Bad and ugly of GC
 

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I miss the really interesting threads we used to have on here. I've been on for almost 2 years now and it just seems like GC as a whole has changed, especially with all of the closed threads and the amount of people who get flamed for sharing their honest opinions.

Yea, I miss those kinds of posts too. I'm really sick and tired of the "Do you watch this T.V. show? threads. It's like do some people not do anything besides post on GC and watch TV?

It just seems like GC isn't hardly as interesting as it once was.

I like our GC AIM chats...those get pretty crazy..alot different than the threads i think ;)

so how can GC be spiced up again?

A little pepper, maybe some cayenne... ;)

Maybe starting up some "new for 2003" "most unusual ____" topics would help - being sure to keep everything civil so they don't get locked and posts don't get deleted.

It seems like everyone complains that GC has lost it's "spice" and variety, but half the posts are about sex and getting drunk.

When we do talk about interesting issues, people get in an uproar and start personal attacks. NEWSFLASH: This is what GC used to be...that's partially why it was interesting. So...we either want drama and bickering or semi-peaceful discussions. I don't think it works both ways.
