Ok, I'm a Bison....
The "Yard" is the place on main campus, affectionately known as 'The Runway'.
At mainstream universities it would be referred to as the Quad. It's the center of campus where you can see a large number of the buildings where you would take your general classes, our historic Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel, the libraries and the Blackburn Center.
Blackburn is the closest thing we have to a student union.
