There are a million possible reasons why they chose other names, everythign from the fact that they started as a club (like farmhouse) to that they wanted to be different, to they didnt' want to be associated with "Greeks" despite their similar existence, to the fact that their name has a special significance for members...I honestly don't see what the big deal is? Who are you to judge or question?

Woah! I don't see that they were judging or questioning...they were just curious. I always wondered the same thing.
