Not knowing anyone for recs is ok, there are plenty of resources here!
There's a thread in the Alumni Involvement section (there's a concurrent one in the Rush section as well) which contains contacts for people who are willing to either write recs or help you make the necessary contacts in your area for recs. While you may need to do a little leg work, it's much easier if you have a contact expecting you.
