Just to warn everyone the RIAA has 871 subpeoneas for people who are sharing music files, with approximately 75 processing per day. They're really going after people. Be careful

ok...not to sound too dumb, but subpoenas? i thought it was legal to share music....what sites are they pulling these people from?

I've never heard them, either. I'm gonna need some song titles or something. Where are you? Are you sure they are new songs? They may be some old songs that have already passed through here.

Nope, not so legal anymore. Congress has authorized the RIAA to force Internet service providers to turn over personal information of individual users. So for example if you use Verizon for internet servce, the RIAA goes to Verizon and says "give me all the people who are downloading music" and according to the new law Verizon has to do it. I recommend everyone keep abreast of this issue.

How can they tell who is downloading?

YES! Go to the Chit Chat forum, there's a thread about it that will lead you to some helpful websites. I just got an email today from my university about it (I'm in the dorms for the summer) and basically I better stop now. Sad to say, the RIAA is getting their way.

Okay I've heard of the hooka hooka song. I didn't like it at first...but it's actually pretty catchy. It has a nice beat, sometimes I find myself jammin to it... I don't even wanna think about what the dance thet goes with it is like though

This song is pretty old but it still gets on my nerves how people jam to this "I'm chillin with my girl and you already know and if you wanna reach me hit me on the downlow if I don't call back don't put on a show, cuz I ride past your house and blow instead of knocking on your door." How disrespectful is that

Okay the fact that I know all the words should let you know they play it entirely too much...

Sorry I digress as far as music picks I really like Beyonce's new CD, "Hip Hop Star", Monica "Knock, Knock" ,"I'm too hood for you"and anything by R. Kelly even the new one with Marcus Houston and Joe Budden
